We were made by God. Yes, that is undeniably true. But it is our actions that separated us from Him.
Is God selfish?
Until now, even if I am a Christian, I still ask that question. Although I knew the answers all along, I never failed to ask him this when I am down.
The answer is NO! a big no-no. He only wants us to learn… We are too much dependent of him that we sometimes fail to do what we should in order to get what we really need. It is not only God who should work. We have our own part. A special part that God has put us in.
It does not mean that when God does not give us what we want, sometimes we doubt him. We doubt that he even listens to our prayers. But hey! One thing for sure, he never fails to listen to us. Even if you think that a lot of people are praying to him right now so he probably wont listen to you, think again! He listens to the very details of your cries to him.
He may not answer it right away, but that’s because it isn’t the right time yet or it is not for you. He always wants the best for you! He gives you the BEST of everything. He answers prayers sometimes through experiences, through other people, and sometimes even through unexpected events.
My point is that sometimes we are too selfish to want every good things in life that for a fact, we forget that there are other people that needs it too. Those people who is less fortunate to even have a home or food to eat for everyday consumption.
Sometimes we waste things. We want things that would satisfy us for a relatively short period of time.
Selfishness is avoidable! SHARE. Give and take. It is not always a take and take kind of lifestyle. That is not a healthy practice!
What does the bible say about selfishness:
Philippians 2:3 ESV
Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
2 Corinthians 9:7 ESV
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV
But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”
